Iffy South is the art-pop project of Vancouver musician Elliot Vaughan. High, ghostly vocals are intimate yet detached as they drift strangely across the moody grooves, reminiscent of Portishead or David Bowie at his quietest. In 2015 Iffy South released an EP produced by Mark Dolmont. The four beautifully crafted songs observe wet sand, empty rooms, birds, the past, until meaning is lost and the bizarre is achieved and sustained. On stage, Iffy is just as moving and curious whether playing solo, electronically, or as a band.
